Dates: June 20 – August 12 — Work/Evangelism
Everyone enjoys watching a good film, but for those who have never seen a film showing their culture in their language, it has an even stronger impact on their lives! Come be a part of a film crew making a culturally relevant Gospel film. You will receive training at the Lord’s Boot Camp in puppets, music, evangelism and film production.
After Commissioning, the team flies from Orlando, to Dulles International Airport in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Your next flight crosses the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Sahara Desert to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A connecting flight takes you to Entebbe International Airport, located on Lake Victoria.
From the airport you travel by Teen Missions truck to Jinja, the source of the Nile River, which David Livingstone searched for all his life and never found. It is now the home of Teen Missions in Uganda BiBle, Missionary & Work Training Center.
The film script is being written based on true experiences that Ugandan young people have endured. The goal is to produce a film that can be used as an evangelistic tool to bring people of all ages to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. You will be a part of making two films; one in the local language and another in English. The actors will be Ugandan and scenes will be filmed in local areas. Not only will you have opportunity to be part of the film crew, but also do a needed work project.
Housing will be in tents; bathing and laundry will be done using buckets.
You may enjoy a picnic on the shores of Lake Victoria. Bartering in the local markets will give you the opportunity to purchase many handcrafts including drums, wood and soapstone carvings, baskets, bags, jewelry and national clothing.
Estimated Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Beth, Thanks for getting back.
I see that someone has asked the crew to shoot at a wider range and I believe i saw you on stage. Who is the co-team leader for the Uganda film team?
And may I ask when is commissioning for the uganda film team and who should I ask about the Zambia water filter team?
Finally may I ask if commissioning will happen in the morning, afternoon or evening and if we come after lunch, do we stay thru Commissioning?
God bless you for all the good work you are doing. Can I pray for you and your team on anything specific?

Linda, The leaders are Kathy, Emmanuel and Lorraine. Both teams are commissioned on July 7 and it starts around 7:30. Yes, you may stay.

Hi, Beth,
Thanks for making the available.
may i ask if emails to boot camp attendees will be given to them daiy during boot camp. BTW, can you ask the camera crew to shoot the left and the right a bit more for we have been watching the rally and meetings daily and only saw the center area most of the time. Kindly facilitate showing the Uganda film team area if possible for you all are not sittingin the center and up front.
By the way, are parents allowed to show up at commissioning day?
Thanks for everything.

Linda, The camera crew is doing their best! We are in the back, so we never get shot much. When the Early Boot Camp teams leave, then it will be easier to get better shots of the Super Boot Camp. Parents may come in after lunch on Commissioning. Other visitors after supper.
