Dates: June 28 – August 4 — Work/Evangelism
Kangaroos, kookaburras, and koalas are already talking about your arrival “down under” on the beautiful island continent of Australia.
After Boot Camp, you will begin your adventure from the Orlando International Airport with a flight across the southern United States to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles, it is just a short “hop” across the Pacific Ocean, the Equator and the International Date Line before arriving in Brisbane, Queensland. From Brisbane, you will make the two-hour bus ride to the Teen Missions Australia BiBle, Missionary, & Work (BMW) Training Center.
Housing will be in A-frame dorms and hot showers are available. Your specific project is to do renovations on the property such as pouring sidewalks and painting. You will also have an opportunity to share the Gospel in churches and local schools in Cooroy, Pomona, Noosa and Tewantin.
You will become celebrities as people come to hear your presentations of music, puppets, drama and testimonies of what God is doing in your life. Remember to pack some winter clothing as the temperature falls with the setting sun. It will certainly be a change from that warm Boot Camp weather!
Visit the Sunshine Coast beaches, Opals Down Under and The Skin Thing where souvenirs are plentiful with boomerangs, didgeridoos, kangaroo skins and opals. You may also have time to visit the Australia Zoo, founded by Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and his family.
Estimated Project Expense: $4090 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

When you get to boot camp how much time do you get to set up your tent?

Emmie, It depends. Many times, the leaders have already set up the tents.

I would love an opportunity to do mission work with my daughter who will be 13 in August. Can you turn us on to an organization that caters to families. Thanks

Hello, my 12 year old daughter and I are looking to do a missions trip together this summer and would be very interested in the Australia Preteen mission.
Would this trip be an option for us to look into as a duo? I would be interested in being a leader and my daughter a preteen participant.
Thank you!
Cindy

Cindy, Please contact the Leader Dept. about leading that team. There is still room for your daughter to go there.

I just meant the Facebook group for the team that the Hendersons said their sons started. I can’t find it on fb.
