Head “Down Under” to the rugged bush in the hinterland of southern Queensland, Australia, for a summer of serving the Lord. Spend yourtime completing a number of work projects that will help in the expansion of a mission training center and youth camp.

After completing Boot Camp, your Australia mission trip adventure continues by bus to the Orlando International Airport and then by air via Los Angeles and Auckland, New Zealand to Brisbane. From Brisbane, you bus two hours north along the Sunshine Coast to the Teen Missions Australia Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center. There will be no shortage of work from painting and roofing a 108 year-old chapel, to doing block work and building a bush-walk bridge.

You will wake up many days with a view of kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and possibly a koala! As for the Aussie animals you won’t see at the property, you may have an opportunity to see them at the world-famous Australian Zoo, founded by the late Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter. Housing will be in dorms with hot showers available; laundry will be done using buckets. Opportunities to interact with Aussie young people will be provided as you minister in local churches, in youth groups and at public schools in religious education classes using drama, music, puppets and testimonies. On weekends you may have opportunities to evangelize at the local skateboard parks along the Sunshine Coast. You may also have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the historic Town of 1770, where there is snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef among tropical fish, sea turtles and beautiful coral. A visit to Noosa Heads Beach, a surfer’s paradise, will provide an afternoon of relaxation along with shopping for all things Aussie, such as boomerangs, didgeridoos, sheepskins, Akubra hats, opals and “Snowy River” coats.
