Zambia Missions Trip

Mission Trip Dates: June 12 – July 30 — Work/Evangelism

Imagine hundreds of children eagerly anticipating the sound of your motorcycles, announcing your arrival for Sunday School to begin! See this firsthand as you ride to remote locations to assist the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission (MSSM) Circuit Rider Missionaries teach Sunday schools, literacy classes and Bible quizzing.

After completing specialized motorcycle training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to Orlando for a flight to Lusaka, Zambia via Dulles International Airport; Rome, Italy; and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A five-hour bus ride will take you to the Teen Missions in Zambia BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center in Ndola.

At the base there will be time to familiarize yourselves on the Zambian roads, looking the opposite direction for turns and riding on the left side of the road. Then it is time to repack your duffle bag, tents and food supplies to begin your MSSM Circuit.

Bible stories, singing, learning memory verses, coloring pictures, quizzing and playing games are all creative ways to teach your lessons. You can also teach phonics classes to help the children learn how to read.

Housing will be in tents; bathing and laundry is done using buckets. Before leaving Zambia, a trip to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World discovered by David Livingstone in 1855, is planned. You will enjoy viewing this breathtaking waterfall known as the “Smoke that Thunders”. Wood carvings, batiks, jewelry and traditional drums are just a few of the souvenirs available for you to purchase.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Team members must be at least 16 years old and have a valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license.

Estimated Project Expense Range: $4890 U.S. plus Registration Fee
