Sub-Saharan Africa is more heavily affected by AIDS than any other region of the world. Worldwide, there are an estimated 17 million AIDS Orphans. Of that number, 15 million live in sub-saharan Africa. There are approximately  1 million in Cameroon, 1.5 in Zamia, 2.3 in Uganda, 1.4  Zimbabwe, 950,000 AIDS orphans in Malawi.

The vision and goal of Teen Missions is to provide for children whose parents have died of the HIV/AIDS virus, and children or widows who do not have a sustaining family. We are in the process of trying to provide cold weather gear for 24 AIDS ORPHANS Rescue Units. Each Rescue Unit reaches an average of 200 children.

We want to send a 20 ft. cargo container full of blankets, jackets, and sweaters.

How can you help?

You can donate clothes or shoes at our base here in Merritt Island, Florida or you can sponsor the shipping expense of a bail for $200. Each container can hold up to 50 bale that are being sent to Africa. Our coordinators will then distribute these items to hundreds of orphans.

Former Team Members — have you ever wondered what happens to all of those clothes you leave at Boot Camp in the “Missionary Barrel“? They have been washed and are waiting to be shipped overseas to needy little orphans like those pictured here.

But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? – 1 John 3:17 (KJV)

AIDS Orphans & Street Children

AIDS Orphans and Street Children opened its first Orphans Rescue Unit in November of 2001. This new concept in taking the “orphanage to the orphan” has been very successful and is literally saving lives. Through these Units we are meeting needs of children who once had no one to care for them. We are also making a difference by enhancing village life through the donations of nutrition seminars, wells and grinding mills. As we are driven by the compassion of Christ, we have been seeing more ways that we can improve the standard of living for these people by providing more service opportunities. Each project enables us to have additional outreach with not only the orphans, but also their entire villages. We do not want to just meet their physical needs, but want to meet their spiritual needs as well by introducing them to the Lord Jesus Christ.
