Meet the Aronsons

Aronson 2013

But thanks be to God , who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57, 58

Emery and Linda Aronson both joined staff in the 1970’s as single people. Linda first joined in 1975 from upstate New York and Emery came from Texas in 1976. They married in 1981 and have two sons, Joseph and Matthew. Linda is a talented bookkeeper and has worked in the Finance Department since she joined staff over 30 years ago. Emery has experience with operating heavy equipment and is currently working in the Print Shop. He has also traveled thousands of miles on the road driving a Teen Missions bus and is a licensed CDL instructor for Teen Missions. Emery and Linda are long-term staff members; the founders are the only people who have been on staff longer. Each summer, Emery and Linda serve as part of Summer Staff, taking care of headquarter responsibilities while the teams are on the field. Linda also helps coordinate the Mustard Seed program for four to six year olds.

Greetings, The summer is fast approaching.  There are just over 600 people getting ready for Boot Camp.  I am so excited that one of them will be my granddaughter, Ava—she will be going on the Mustard Seeds Team with me. I can’t wait! She and the rest of the kids are going to have fun with the “Kings and Queens” theme. We will have stories about different kings and queens in the Bible. The Big Top Tent is up and is ...

Greetings!   Fall, what a great time for things to begin cooling down (well, not in Florida!), but we do start thinking about harvest time, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This year we took our grandkids to celebrate Grandparents Day at mom’s place. They had animals from a farm: a pig, rabbits, chickens, a goat, and a pony. Ava was very excited when she got to ride on the pony. Aiden was a bit scared so he would not ride, but we got him ...

Is it really fall again already? Seems to me that every year passes a little more quickly. Do any of you find that true in your lives? It is our hope and prayer that this finds you well and that God is blessing you in every way possible.   Another busy summer is now behind us. Once again, I (Linda) was very involved in the Mustard Seed ministry. One sad occurance this year is that one of the children got sick and ...

Greetings, We have about 671 registered for this year. The teens are sending in their money. Please pray for those who are still lacking funds and are not sure where it will come from. God uses this time to test the team members’ faith, as well as their parents’, so they can see how God will work His miracles starting with support and getting the other supplies that are needed. God is in control! Emery has been working on the new driveway ...

Greetings: Last month we sent out a letter because our support had fallen. It’s always hard to ask for money, especially at this time when others are in need too. We realize sometimes that you just have to make people aware that you have a need. We got a good response and appreciate everyone who helped. It was so good to get all the encouraging notes. It is always good to know that somehow what you are doing is a good ...
