A Word from The Wylies

1 John 3:16 - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Heni was born and raised in Hungary, Europe in a non-Christian family. The very first time she heard the Gospel was in an English Camp in Hungary that was run by American missionaries. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at the age of 16 and, despite the oppositions she had from her family, she slowly kept on growing in the Lord. During her college years (in 2000), she was invited to be part of the Missionaries To America program at Teen Missions in America. On the team she met her husband, Mathew Wylie, who is from Canada. After finishing her commitment as an MTA, she went back to finish her teacher’s training college. She married Mat in Hungary in 2002. Heni has served as a leader on teams since 2001 (Hungary Orphanage 2001, Europe Choir 2002, Missionaries To America 2003-2004, Malawi AIDS Orphans 2005, Malawi 2006).

Mathew was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He accepted Christ at the age of six with the help and guidance of his mother. Even when he was very young, he wanted to serve God full time. He heard about Teen Missions at his church when he was 12, but could not go on a summer team until the following year. Since then, he only missed two Boot Camps in Florida; he has served as a team member (Venezuela 1994, Nepal 1995, Jordan 1996, Honduras 1997, Missionaries To America 2000-2001) and has also led many teams all over the world (Philippines 1999, Honduras 2000, Sea Angels 2001, Missionaries To America 2001-2002, Scotland 2002, Missionaries To America 2003-2004, Malawi AIDS Orphans 2005, Malawi 2006).

Mathew and Heni moved to Malawi in May 2004 to help with the AIDS Orphans and Street Children work that uses Rescue Units to minister to children. In January 2005 they became coordinators of the Teen Missions in Malawi base.  Their responsibilities include running the Malawian Boot Camp, overseeing the work of two BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK (BMW) Training Centers, coordinating the seven AIDS Orphans Rescue Units and the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission circuits.
