Australia Projects Update

Ethiopia – the majority of the team is working on the lower levels for bricklaying, also painting iron ceilings, building bench chairs. They have had 16 salvations so far from street outreaches

Nepal – started building a new toilet block they went from digging foundations to setting in doors as well as digging a 3mx4m waste pit for the toilets. Tomorrow they start roofing a church and plastering walls at their next project site.

Mexico – they are rendering the inside of the water tank. They put a new roof on the shed and have put noggins on the walls to make them strong.

Cambodia – the block walls are going well they are much further along than Akhim had expected

Fiji – is safe from the flooding. They have moved to the Suva area and are helping clean some school buildings and a church from recent floods. They have finished their project of roofing and are now looking to do some relief work from the flooding.

Samoa – has been doing some maintenance jobs around the property.

Prayer Needs -For the preteen team as they will be heading back home

-For the other teams as they continue with their projects

-For Ethiopia team, they have 4 people that still do not have tickets back to debrief from Hong Kong

-Fiji team flooding on the island, three people dead. But the team is fine but bored, pray for nice weather so they can continue to work.

The brochure for next year went to press this week. We have been cleaning up after the two camps and we are finishing up the Preteen Debrief tonight. Here are the Australian teams for next year:

Teens Vanuatu 0901 —they will be renovating a church on the island of Ambae. Tonga 0902— they will repair a church that was damaged in a cyclone

Nepal 0903—they will start work on a school for an orphanage

Jamaica Deaf School 0904—Continue work the US team did in 07.

Cambodia Farm/orphanage 0905—this team will start work on building a farm to feed orphans in the remote area of Banteay Meanchey Province

Fiji Water Tank/System 0906— they continue work on a water system that will supply a village with drinking water

Egypt Orphanage 0907—they will be going to Lillian Trasher orphanage Philippines BMW/drama 0908—working at TMIP and using drama as an outreach on weekends

Northern Ireland Youth Center 0909—going to Monkstown going door-to-door outreach. Painting a youth center.
