Learning To Lean On God

Zambia TeamI was born and raised in a Christian household. I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was four years old, but as I grew into my teen years I was forgetting what being a Christian is all about. My friends had a major impact on me.  I didn’t have any Christian friends and was pressured into doing things that were not a good testimony to my Christian faith. During my 2nd year of high school I made a bad decision and got myself suspended for 5 days. It was when I saw the disappointment in my family and God, that I decided to change the way I lived my life. I prayed that God would bless me with real friends and Christian friends that would not pressure me. That week He gave me a whole new group of friends that mean the world to me and helped me grow as a Christian. Obviously, I still struggle with sin, but peer pressure is one less sin I have to worry about thanks to the greatness of God. TMI has brought me even closer to God and has taught me to really depend on Him.
