When I first arrived at Boot Camp, I thought I would never make it and started to think of ways to escape. But after I met my team and I prayed to God for strength, I felt better and much more empowered. I also missed my family, but I started to focus on why I was here and what I was doing. Then my goals and objectives came into focus and the homesickness went away—partially, but most went away. Boot Camp, for some, is extremely different from home, but your body will adjust to the climate. Your mind is the hard part. If you can change your attitude and ask God for joy and happiness, you will make it through. Always give thanks to the Lord for your team, family and for this wonderful experience at the Lord’s Boot Camp.
