Greetings from Northern Ireland!! We continue to enjoy moderate temperatures, often with rain in the afternoons or evenings. The team has really enjoyed the work with the local youth in the Youth Center. They continue to develop relationships with the unsaved Irish youth, planting seeds of the gospel along the way. They enjoy playing games like ping pong & pool in the afternoons to relate with them. The team members are then able to share testimonies, Christian songs, and dramas with them in the evenings. They are looking forward to next week’s Kid’s Club (VBS) with the younger youth of the area. They have been busy preparing materials for teaching stories, crafts, games, puppets, etc. They are also looking forward to helping redecorate the Youth Center: building a stage, updating paint, and moving the store area. Although many of us have experienced some head colds due to the drastic change in temperature and climate, it has not deterred us from the work. No one has even asked to go to the ‘sick room’!! We spent Thursday sightseeing and souvenir shopping in Belfast. We trained twenty minutes into Belfast. Many of the team had never been on a train before!! We spent several hours buying souvenirs for our loved ones. We then ate lunch on the lawn of the Capitol building. Several team members (Lisa, Corey, Alaina, Livy, Bekah, Drake, & Andrea) were able to ride the Belfast Eye (large Ferris Wheel). We then took a vigorous walk to the Belfast University and then took a beautiful walk through the Botanic Gardens. The team was then able to ride back to Monkstown on a double decker bus!! We all slept well that night…We are looking forward to spending some time on Saturday practicing new skits, catching up on any missed classes from the sightseeing day, and having a time of Funspiration (Fun night). Although no decisions for Christ have been made, the team is working hard on planting the seeds and keep them watered!!
