We Have Been Busy

Northern Ireland Project SiteSending our thoughts & prayers from across the Atlantic!! We have had quite a busy week. We completed all of our construction projects: the painting of three classrooms & staining of all the windows in each room, Youth Center renovations of building a stage, painting the Fringe Youth Works logo on the wall, and moving & organizing a ‘truck shop’, store for the Center.  The team has also completed all of their scheduled EV efforts in the Youth Center and the local churches. Although working with the local unsaved youth of the area has proven quite a challenge, we leave this country knowing that many seeds of the gospel have been planted. We trust God to harvest those seeds in His perfect timing. It has also been a great privilege to encourage the Fringe Youth Works coordinator and workers with our enthusiasm and love for the Lord. We are requesting prayer for the youth in Northern Ireland. Please pray that the Lord would move in their hearts to bring them to salvation. We would also request prayer for the workers at the Fringe Youth Works center. Please pray for wisdom, endurance, continue building of relationships, and opportunities to plant and harvest the seeds of the gospel. We were blessed by the warmth of the Irish people on Wednesday evening when we were invited over to a home for dinner. We were fed potatoes and Irish stew (lamb with carrots). We were also served delicious chocolate cake and cheese cake for dessert. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and singing together.  We spent a relaxing Saturday getting ready to begin our journey back to the States. We finished up some classes, pre-packed our duffels, finished any local shopping, and found time to have funspiration (game time). We look forward to having a team banquet on Monday evening. It will be a time to have good food, fellowship, and sharing of stories and testimonies about all God has done in us this summer. We will then take a moment to dedicate our work and pray over the Youth Center. Tuesday will be spent finalizing packing and cleaning the church. We begin our travel to Debrief early Wednesday morning. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel. We look forward to the warmer weather in Florida after several days of cooler temperatures and rain lately. We thank the Lord that everyone on the team is healthy, and although a bit sad to leave, ready to see our loved ones again soon.
