Tuttle Times – Fall 2009

We are here! We are FINALLY here at the Teen Missions base in Florida!! Thank you so much for all the support, encouragement and prayer that got us to this point.

We arrived to a wonderful reception of fellow staff families unloading our truck, providing meals and offering to help in any way they could. In the midst of this we all got sick! It didn’t last too long, but it did increase the homesickness for the kids.

Praise the Lord, we are adjusting! Wes started school at Merritt Island High. Seth has been fishing at every given opportunity and Emily has already made several girlfriends who come to play every day.

Because I am still homeschooling Seth and Emily, Brian and I are working a split shift at Teen Missions. He goes in from 6a.m. to 2p.m. and I work from 1p.m. to 5p.m. Brian is working in the Mechanics Shop, as well as Land Crew. This can be a big job since the Teen Missions Florida base includes 250 acres. I am working in the Personnel Department, specifically handling the Promotions of Teen Missions and its many different ministries: Teen Missions Summer Teams, AIDS Orphans & Street Children, Motorcycle Sunday School Missions. There is much to be done!

The new brochure for the 2010 summer teams will be available on line Thanksgiving Day! They have some awesome teams lined up. We are excited to see where God will place us.

We are almost unpacked, which helps it feel more like home. It is different to be wearing shorts at the end of October. I don’t think the kids have any spots of skin untouched by mosquitoes on their legs!

We would ask that you please keep us in your prayers as we continue to visit churches, looking for where God would have us serve and grow in Him.

We plan to be home for Christmas and hope to see many of you then. If any of you would like for us to speak to your church, Sunday School class or youth group regarding Teen Missions and the many ways to serve or be involved, please let us know.

We do want to be up front in saying that our committed monthly support level is well below where it needs to be. We know and believe that God is in control and that He will provide for our needs!  Please prayerfully consider supporting us financially, if you are not at this time. Please know that ANY amount would be appreciated.  We will be in touch and will be lifting you up in prayer as well! God bless you!

• That we arrived safely and have felt very welcomed by the fellow staff.

• That the kids are beginning to adjust and make friends.

• That Teen Missions is being represented at the Cincinnati Homeschool Conference  April 8-10.

Prayer Requests:

• That we would find a home church that is right for us.

• That the kids would continue to adjust and grow to love being a part of Teen Missions.

• That we would grow in our dependency on Christ for everything!

• That the Lord would provide needed monthly supporters.

  1. I love you all so much and I miss you terribly. I wish I was down there with you because I cannot take this cold weather much longer! I’m trying to convince Corey to look for a job in Florida! haha I am praying for all of you every day and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that God does in and through you during this season of your lives. I can’t wait to see you for Christmas!

  2. We are so very proud of you all for living by faith and going where God leads your family. You all mean the world to us and we love you just like family. Gods plan and timing is not always we “we” plan but He knows what is best no matter what. Just know that if you need us for anything – we are only a phone call away….and hey – ya never know – one day we could be only a trailor away!! (LOL). Love you, Tammy
