Following Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a short flight to Miami. On a connecting flight, you will cross the Straits of Florida, Cuba, the Caribbean Sea and Colombia before arriving in Lima, the capital city located on the Pacific Ocean. While there, you will change planes and fly over the rugged Andes Mountains, dotted with small villages, to Pucallpa.

This small city is located in the Amazon Basin, on the Ucayali River which merges into the Amazon River and flows approximately 2000 miles through Brazil to the Atlantic Ocean. Your project is to construct a concrete block church building for the Bible Missionary Church, El Shaddai.

  3. I’ve gone through my folder but I can’t find any specific Team Fact Sheet. Is there any was I can have it mailed again or call in for information?

  4. Hey I was wondering is there certain things we need to do for Peru? Like certain medication? or wear?

    • You should have received the Individual Team Fact Sheet a couple of weeks ago. A “packing list” is on our website under 2010 Mission Trips. Check with your physician on what medications he/she recommends.

  5. I am SO EXCITED for this summer! It’s going to be a life-changing experience!

    in going!

  10. What does it mean by boot camp? Like actual boot camp .

    • It is a two week training period. You will sleep in tents, bathe and do your laundry out of a bucket. You will be trained in the necessary work skills for your particular team. You will also be trained in puppets, music, drama and evangelistic skills.

  11. Are all of your summer trips 8 weeks long?

  12. Okay, thanks.

  13. When is the absolute deadline to sign up?

    • The sooner you sign up the better, but the “absolute” deadline is the day before Boot Camp begins. However, that would greatly limit you in what team(s) you could go on due to visas, airline seat availability, etc.

  14. Where do I find the computer id # that you write down on the letters to hand out?

  20. Is it to late to register for this trip?

  21. Sara,
We have you registered and you should be getting a packet in about 2-3 weeks. We are still in the process of proofing everything and then it has to get printed.

  22. I registered for Peru Church online, but I am unsure of what to do next. Should I mail in my registration fee, or wait for notification?

    • You can either pay online or send us your registration fee. It is faster to pay online. Once we receive the registration fee, we will get you registered.

  23. I sent in an early registration form. I am wodering when to expect a packet of information to share with friends and family members; as well, as which team I will be a part of this summer. My first choice was Peru. Thanks for any information that you may be able to provide.

    Sara Thomas
