Before I arrived at the Lord’s Boot Camp, I thought it would be difficult, but nowhere near as difficult as it really is. I had prayed that I would encounter God before I arrived, but this wasn’t what I had in mind. However, ever since day 1, God has been encouraging me through His Word and the rallies.
During my devotions I’ve read through many of Paul’s letters and already I feel my knowledge and passion for God has grown. Paul constantly reminds us of the sufferings of Christ, which were far greater than those at Boot Camp. It encourages me to keep working hard and persevere as Jesus did. Paul also says that we are brothers and co-heirs with Jesus so we should rejoice in our sufferings always. The weeks I’ve spent at Boot Camp have been my toughest in my life. Its taught me to realize that I am extremely blessed and that I must trust God’s strength. I’m excited to see how God will use me this summer, because I already feel Him at work.
