Holy Land – Hope School | Teen Missions Trip

2007 Egypt Missions TripMissions Trip Dates: June 23 – August 10 — Work/Evangelism

Prepare yourself for a life-changing missions trip experience!

After commissioning, you bus to the Orlando In- ternational Airport and fly to JFK International Airport in New York. Your next flight takes you across the Atlantic Ocean, France, Italy and the Mediterranean Sea to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Your journey continues by bus as you travel through the scenic countryside over the rugged hills of Jerusalem, and on past Rachels Tomb to Bethlehem, the hometown of King David and birthplace of Jesus Christ. There is much physical work to be done, but even greater spiritual blessings are in store for you as you minister in this historical land. Sundays will be spent sharing Christ in local Arab Christian churches.

The team will be working in Beit Jala at the Hope Secondary School, begun by Arab Christians in 1961, where young Arab boys receive Christian teaching in addition to their secondary education. What a thrill to realize that the valley seen from the school is the traditional bat- tleground of David and Goliath! Enjoy devotions as you look over the city of Jerusalem, just eight miles away.

Your project will be to paint the classrooms and dorm rooms of those who board at the school. You will also repair the fencing around the property and do gardening. Housing is in dorms with showers available. In Bethlehem you will see the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds Field. Nearby are the Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock, where Solomon built the temple.

Souvenirs available include olive wood carvings, glassware, mother-of-pearl jewelry and brassware by local craftsman. Whether you walk through the Old City or visit Gethsemane, The Garden Tomb, or Golgotha, you will never be the same!

Project Expense: $3890 U.S. plus Registration Fee

  1. I’m really excited for this trip and I can’t wait to meet everyone on my team. So far I know of 15 people, and I was wondering if there is a total yet. I’m not sure how many an average team has, but I was just wondering what to expect.

  2. Do we have to bring money for a visa?

  3. What are the dates/times we need to arrive and depart TMI for SuperBootCamp? We want to book my airfare and, since registered late, I haven’t gotten my packet of information.

    • Christian, You can arrive anytime in this 24 hour window (Orlando International Airport-MCO): 10 AM on June 22 to 10 AM on June 23. Go home day is August 10 and you will need to book your flight between 9AM and 3PM from Orlando International.

  4. Is this one still open?

  5. Kelly, They send out prayer cards and letters and raise their own support.

  6. I WAS on this trip! Israel, 1987!!! What an amazing experience. I’m so glad to see that you are making this trip again. Our construction team built a storage house and reinforced the wall/barbed wire around Hope Secondary school. We also did puppet shows in Beit Jala (“Heaven is a wonderful place, filled with glory and grace…”), played some soccer with the local Palestinian children, ate lots of great bread, and toured the Holy Land! I hope the 2011 team will also have a great experience. I will be praying for you all! Many Blessings!

  10. Beth, I see you’ve been answering some questions, and I was wondering if you could tell me about the Iraq/Turkey missions trip. I was hoping to go on that one, but I think it got pulled out. Any specific reasons? Just wondering.

    • Justine, Our Director visited Iraq in September and did not feel it was best or safe for a team to go there at this time. We do hope to go in the future.

  11. I know that God has called me to go to Israel and reach out to his chosen people. I would prefer to attend the first trip because of the dates and I know one of the head leaders on that trip but I was told that it was full. I fully intend to be in Israel this year with TMI if the Lord permits on either trip. How do I sign up?

  12. how many days would the team be working and how many would be ministry days?

    • Emily-It all depends on what is going on during a particular day and what the missionary has available. This is mostly a work team, so on most days, you will be working 6-8 hours.

  13. @Cierra…. Me too!!! And I’m UBER excited!!!

  14. Registered and ready to go for this team! 🙂

  15. Is there anyway to find out who is on a team? Like, since I’m going on this team would I be able to find out who else is going on this trip?

    • Marissa, We do not give out that information at this time. If others are on the forum and on that team, they will let you know.

  16. I was on this trip in 1998 doing the same projects. It is hard to believe that was 12 years ago. It was a very rewarding summer!

  17. i would love more information on this trip, i feel very led to be part of missions
