Serbia & Montenegro | Teen Missions Trip

2007 Cambodia Missions Trip

Mission Trip Dates: June 23 – August 10 — Work/Evangelism

Serve the Lord on the first team to Serbia & Montenegro (formerly known as Yugoslavia) this summer.

After completing training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight across the Atlantic Ocean to London, England. A connecting flight then takes you across the English Channel, Swiss Alps to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia & Montenegro.

Upon arrival you bus for two hours through the beautiful countryside, winding through many large gorges. Along the Ovcar Banja River gorge, between the towns of Cacek and Uzice, are twelve orthodox monasteries and many medieval towns that you may visit during your stay. Your project is to help enlarge the Campa Mrcajevci building and also do some painting and landscaping.

You will enjoy meeting the Serbian children who will be at the camp during your stay. During free time you may walk to the clear waters of the nearby river for a refreshing swim. Housing will be in tents, but showers are available. Souvenirs available include wood carvings, dolls, baskets and t-shirts.

On your return to Florida for Debrief, you will have an overnight in London where you may take the “Tube” (London’s famous subway system) into the city to see such sights as Westminster Cathedral, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace.

Project Expense: $4190 U.S. plus Registration Fee

  6. Understandable! Thankfully I have other sources so now I know the answer to my question 🙂

  7. Hey Beth could you be so kind as to tell me how many team members are signed up for this team? I would really appreciate it!

  8. Hey my mom says we will be driving over mines is that true also is this unsafe in any way? She wont let me go becuase of these reasons and i really want to go.I am willing to pay for it myself but she wants to know about saftey.

    • Emily, Have your mom call us after Jan. 4 with her safety concerns and we will be happy to answer her specific questions.

  9. Leanna it’s in tents. Most teams are in tents. It’s not as bad as it sounds though.

  10. For this trip do you stay in dorms or tents?

  11. Hey anyone signed up for this team should write on here! I want to meet others who are leaning towards going on this team. Also, i went in 08 so i could answer questions! Thanks!

  12. Serbs are Christian Orthodox, the religion of the apostles and the saints. I hope that your visit will allow you to see the monasteries that are ancient, where our early Christian Orthodox fathers and mothers of the Church walked. Perhaps you will be moved to recognize the Holy Tradition that is inherent in the Faith.

  13. You will probably evangelize to both, but mostly to the children at the camp.

  14. What is Campa Mrcajevci?
