Uganda Sewing | Adult Missions Trip

2011 Uganda Adult Missions TripDates: March 3 – 22 — Work/Evangelism

Following orientation this team will fly from the Orlando Interna- tional Airport to Entebbe, the capital of Uganda, via Washington D.C. and Rome, Italy.

From the airport you will travel two hours to Nakabango, near Jinja, home of the Teen Missions in Uganda base and the source of the Nile River, which David Livingstone searched for all his life and never found. After spending a day at the base to repack and rest, you will load your vehicle and travel to the Rescue Units.

You will be using treadle sewing machines to teach both orphans and guardians how to assemble simple patterns, do mending and some handwork. You will be traveling to two areas that have not had the opportunity of having a team from North America visit them.

There will be ample opportunities to interact with the orphans, who are eager to learn new songs, hear Bible stories and watch you doing your daily activities. You will have the opportunity to shop for local arts and crafts before returning to the States.

Contributions Equal to: $3090 U.S. plus Registration Fee
