Zambia Africa Teen Missions Summer Trip 2010

Making friends on the 2010 Teen Missions summer trip to Zambia

Mission Trip Dates:

June 23 – August 14 — Work/Evangelism

Many orphans from our Lushwishi AIDS Orphans Rescue Unit are not able to go to school because they cannot cross the river in the wet season, which is six months of the year! Be a part of the team that will complete this desperately needed project.

After Commissioning you fly from Orlando to Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., our nation’s capital. From there, an overnight flight takes you to Dakar, Senegal for refueling, then proceeds to Johannesburg, South Africa, and on to Lusaka, Zambia. From the airport, you truck five hours to the Teen Missions in Zambia BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center in Ndola where you load your supplies before you travel to the unit located along the Lushwishi River.

Started by a 2010 team, the bridge, built from local logs, will be for walking only. Housing will be in tents and your bucket is used for bathing and laundry.

Before departing Zambia, you will travel to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World discovered by David Livingstone in 1855. You will enjoy viewing this breathtaking waterfall known as the “Smoke that Thunders”. It will be a trip you won’t want to miss! Wood carvings, batiks, jewelry and traditional drums are just a few of the souvenirs available for you to purchase.

Project Expense: $4490 U.S. plus Registration Fee
