OA I returns to Ndola

Yesterday, July 18, we arrived safely after our 6 hour challenging (but very fun) bike ride back to the city of N’dola, As I write this email, the sun has not yet come up and your amazing teens are washing their bikes! We will camp here until Wed. (July 21) when we leave for Lusaka, the half way point to Victoria Falls. Our tents, supplies, water, food and charcoal will be “riding” under us as we squeeze onto the flatbed for the 13 hour drive. We will be camping there two night and will be visiting Victoria Falls for one very long day! Today we are going into town to get money exchanged, buy a few more blankets (it is winter here, and the nights are frigid), and to buy soap and bleach. Tomorrow will be our last bucket bath until we arrive back to Florida. We will pack up, do lots of baking (on coals) and help with chores as we prepare to leave. How thankful we are that we have been healthy and safe, and that unity has been prominent amongst our team. One of our experiences was our tents were broken into while doing a presentation, but despite the loss of some clothes and personal items, our spirits remained high! There is no mail service where we have been, let alone paper and pens. Our living conditions have been extremely primitive, but we all endured with hard work and positive attitudes. With appreciation for sending your teens to serve and grow, Karen
