Hello from South Africa!
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus.
The last few days have been encouraging as we (the leaders and team members) have seen the Lord use us to minister to children in an orphanage, children and parents in an apartment complex as well as young students and their teachers at a school (K-4th grade) not far from where Teen Missions has their base near Pretoria (about an hour’s drive from Johannesburg). The team members sang a number of songs (many of which have hand motions), performed with puppets and also presented a couple of dramas. A gospel invitation was given at each of these events, with a number of the students at the school praying to recieve Jesus as their Lord and Savior when the “wordless book” method was used. The weather has continued to be warm during the day, but quite cold at night. The remarkable thing about the temperature is the dramatic difference between daytime and nighttime hours. Daytime usually feeling closer to a warm autumn day, while nighttime beong closer to a cold winter’s night. This coming week the team is planning on going on more outings to present the gospel and the love of Jesus through their presentations as well as begin to paint some of the floors of the buildings at the Teen Missions base where we are staying.
