This is our final report from China. We have begun the sad process of saying our “good-byes”. We spent today cleaning up and packing. We had our service out here at the camp at 4 PM. One of the Evergreen staff, a physician, shared from Hebrews 12. It was a good message and a great time of fellowship. Following the service, we went to town to a restaurant, compliments of Evergreen. We enjoyed a great variety of Chinese dishes. Following dinner, Greg (with whom we have been working with) presented everyone with a “star award” (this was also done at camp every day). He spoke of what a blessing the team has been to his family and to the ministry of Evergreen. I think he has it backwards. He and his family, Nina and Olaf have been such a blessing to this team. We ended by saying our good-byes to Greg, Amy, and their children. Olaf will travel with us to Tiyuan City to get the “fast train” and Nina will go with us to Beijing. We are planning on seeing The Forbidden City and Tinnamon Square tomorrow (along with shopping) and we will visit The Great Wall on Tuesday. It will be an EARLY morning on Wednesday as our flight to Chicago leaves just after 6 AM. The team will be calling their parents from the Chicago Airport as we will be there for 12 hours. We arrive in Orlando late on Wednesday night and Debrief begins on Thursday. Again, thank you for your prayers and please pray for health and safety as we travel to Debrief.
