We recently received the following information

regarding Shawn Kelley, former BMW student:
Shawn Kelley graduated from Teen Mission BMW in 1990. He was serving as a missionary in Cameroon. We learned that he recently passed away. He was on a trip into the bush when he contracted an illness.
He was taken to a city hospital and released. He returned to the hospital and died two days later of a secondary infection. We have received very little information.

We wanted you to know about this because he loved Teen Missions. It is where he received his initial training. He graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University in 2002. He had been serving as a missionary for about a year.

I would ask that you would pray for his family and loved ones. We all know that is he Heaven and his troubles are at an end. We also know he will be sorely missed.

“Shawn Kelley has served World Team Cameroon South and the missionary community in numerous ways over the past two years. His role as World Team’s field administrator has been indispensable. His role as servant and friend has touched the lives of many beyond World Team’s missionary community. Shawn has left behind a host of friends and family here in Cameroon including missionaries and nationals.” – Barry Abbott, Cameroon South Field Director.

To God be the Glory for the life of Shawn Kelley !!!

  2. While I rejoice for his homecoming with Jesus, I mourn his loss with his family and friends. It is so hard to understand why things happen and I’m sure we will never be able to comprehend such things, so I will pray for his family, his friends and all the ones who he was able to share with about Jesus Christ. To God Be The Glory for the life Shawn Kelley led for Jesus. I Cor. 10:13

  3. How sad! My prayers and thoughts will be with his family and friends..
