Philippines/Island of Java, Indonesia

2010 Philippines Missions TripDates: June 20 – August 8 — Work/Evangelism Dates: June 20 – August 8 — Work/Evangelism

Spend your summer halfway around the world in the Philippines and on the island of Java, the most populous island in the world!

Following your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Los Angeles. From there a connecting flight takes you across the Pacific Ocean and the International Date Line to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Your next flight will take you south across the Visayan Island group to Butuan City on the island of Mindanao.

Upon arrival you bus to the Teen Missions in the Philippines BiBle, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center, which has a flourishing retreat center near the small town of Buenavista. Your project at the base will be to finish construction of additional dorms for the retreat center. After your project time here you will travel to Jakarta, on the island of Java.

You will have the opportunity to shine the Gospel light as you partner with the Indonesian BMW students to host “Good News Clubs” for local children. Their enthusiasm for learning will inspire you as you proclaim Christ and share His love with them.

Your housing will be in dorms at both locations, while bathing and laundry will be done using a bucket.

Estimated Project Expense Between: $4890 – $4990 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

  1. i was wondering if i had other means of transportation could i just meet you at the mission site? and would it cut the cost of the project expense? (i’m vacationing in the philippines all summer anyways) also, do we have to join the bootcamp?

  2. I would just like to say that the kid in that picture is Elijah and he is AWESOME. *ahem* Even if his team did beat mine in the Bible Quiz last summer. 🙂
