2010 Russia Missions TripRussia Sports

Dates: June 9 – July 28 — Work/Evangelism

Join forces with fired-up teens from Russia to impact the world’s largest country, on this exciting multi-purpose team! After completing Boot Camp, you will fly from the Orlando International Airport, across 10 time zones spanning the Atlantic Ocean, Europe and the Caucus Mountains, to historic Ekaterinburg, Russia via Frankfurt, Germany. Once your team has landed, you will bus past traditional Russian dachas, gardens, wheat fields and birch forests to your destination in Krasnaya Niva. Watch local village farmers pass by on horse-drawn carts as you begin your project by Training National Teens (TNT) in work and evangelism skills such as construction, music, drama, puppets and balloons. You will treasure the sights and sounds of Russian cheers and special music in the evening rallies while sharing and teaching your own “special numbers”…always a big hit to the Russian teams. Your work project will be to continue the construction of the Teen Missions BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center. After the Russian Boot Camp you will join with a Russian team and participate in soccer and volleyball scrimmages with local youth in neighboring towns, sharing the Gospel during “half-time” presentations and building friendships before and after games. Warm days (with 20 hours of daylight) and cool evenings will be a welcome relief after the Florida Boot Camp. A sightseeing trip to Ekaterinburg includes visits to the Europe/Asia border and to an ornate Orthodox church built to commemorate the death of Nicholas II and his family, the last of Russia’s royalty. Shopping will include a visit to the enormous new IKEA mall and street vendors selling world-famous matryoshka dolls, wood carvings and birch paintings.

Estimated Project Expense: $4290 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

About webmaster

I have been on staff with Teen Missions since Dec. 1978

  1. Should my spending money be in American, Canadian, or Euros?

  2. Is there still enough room for me to register?

  3. I really want to go on a trip but my mom thinks I need to raise the money myself – can you ask others for money? And if you get other people’s donations can they be used for airfare to florida/supplies?

    • Lily, We provide prayer cards and letters to help you raise your support. You send them out to friends and family. Donations for the airfare to/from Florida and supplies cannot come through Teen Missions. Perhaps your church would allow that.

  4. are these in the school holidays cause my non-christian friend is interested but can only go in the school holidays.

  5. I really want to go but I don’t know if I have the money to go on the trip. I’ll just have to pray about it

  6. In the brochure it says it is a Russia/Germany trip. Is that because you have a layover in Germany?

  7. My daughter is interested in this trip. She is a varsity soccer player and would love this! Is this trip already filled? If not, where can I get more information?

  8. When we get to Russia will we be sleeping in tents or dorms? and will we be taking bucket baths?

  9. I am really intrusted in this trip but I don’t think its an option this year, will you be doing another one like it in 2013?

  10. What is the project change for the Russian team?

    • Amanda, the team will not be going “around the world” (to Mongolia or China). They will also be working at the Boot Camp that we had last summer.

  11. Hello, when does registration close?
I’m from Colorado, but very interested. Is there any way you can send me information via mail?

    • Jessy, If you will call or send your mailing address, we will send you the brochure. If you have specific questions, please call or email them. Registration is open until Boot Camp starts. However, the longer you wait, the fewer choices you have. The sooner you register, the longer you will have to raise your support.

  12. I went to register for a trip and the Russian sports was not an option. Has it changed?

  13. I am SO interested in this trip I cannot stop thinking about it. I see the phone number to reach someone to talk to on, but is there an email address I can see to ask some questions? I need a lot more information but this sounds amazing!!

  14. hi i am 12 years old and will b 13 a couple months before this trip starts i am really interested in this trip and i was wondering since i will be 13 should i go on a preteen trip or a teen trip.

  15. Hi iam 16teen i do not have a group so what can i do to go on this

  16. Hi It’s Clare!
I am definitely interested in this trip.
I went on a trip with TMI this past summer, it is AMAZING just make sure
you go with a good attitude that God can use.
And yes, God will provide if it’s his will for you to go.

  17. My mom woul like to know more information about the team before registering me. Is there a leader she can call or email?? (We live in Washington.)

  18. i really really want 2 go considering the fact that its a great oppurtunity 2 go and preach 2 those who i can understand without a translater (at least the russia part) but the price is a little costy although i fully understand that it should be, knowing that not only are we going 2 russia but 2 china and mongolia as well. is it possible that i could pay a tad bit lower than the original price?????

    • Daniella, Part of the experience is learning to trust God to provide. If this is where He wants you to go, He will provide down to the last penny.

  19. I’m really considering this trip, but I don’t play sports. I’m terrible at sports! Would this be a problem?

  20. Gabrielle Martin

I went on this trip just this summer. It was AMAZING how God worked in us and through us. The best parts were how we grew so close to the Russian team even though we couldn’t talk to each other and the day we hiked 2 miles or so out to a village park to evangelize and play with these little kids. I definitely recommend this team; however, make sure you don’t sign up just for the sight-seeing or the sports. Either one of those things can be cut short because of various factors. Just pray, and be prepared for anything (including construction).

    God bless =)

  21. I am 13 and will be 14 by the time this trip happens. How do I go about possibly joining the team for this trip and who do I e-mail? 🙂

  22. This trip sounds amazing! Does the price include air fare? or do we come up with thaat on our own? Can we go individually? or do we need a big group? Let me know!!

    • Abby, It includes airfare to and from the country. It does not include airfare to and from Florida. You can come on your own.

  23. im really intrestes in this trip! but i dont have a church to go on this trip with i need more info please!
