Haiti Update -11004

Haiti Missions Trip 2011Greetings from Haiti!! We have been very busy with our work projects. The team has finished putting up a fence and now is painting it. They have been building metal frames for housing to replace the tents in the tent city. They hope to have one home completed today and be able to give it to a needy family. The team also continues to help with the ‘Feeding the Children’ program. This program feeds most of the tent city families. We are sad to have to leave Haiti early because there is such a need for help. However, we know that the Lord has a plan and it includes keeping us safe and healthy. We are just thankful for the brief time we had in Haiti. We look forward to what the Lord has planned for us while working at the Teen Missions headquarters in Florida and ministering to the people on the Space Coast. Thank you for all your prayers. The team is getting healthier stronger, preparing to travel to our next adventure.

God is in control. Thank you to the leaders as they knew when to leave when they should, so sickness did not spread and become worse than the team have already been. I love you Michaela, and am very proud of you as you have accomplished a HUGE endeavor for Jesus. I know it’s been hard on you, but I appreciate you and am proud of you, and God is happy that you achieved such a goal in spite of sickness that all of the team endured. I hope all get better very soon. I am praying for the entire team as they make their journey back to the states, and that their health returns quickly.

  9. We know He had this planned all along. We are confident that the team will continue to serve with willing hearts and healthier bodies in Florida. We love you, Jack, Cassie and Toby…and are praying for each of the team members.

Mom and Dad love you Judah. We know that this does not take God by surprise. He is allowing this for a reason. We just pray that God will show you in someway why. We are also praying for the team’s morale. We are looking forward to hearing from you Sunday afternoon.

  11. We love you Judah! We are praying every day that you will get well and healthy again! Chad prayed a real sweet prayer for you and your team at Grace Bible Church prayer meeting. Praying for a safe flight! Praying for something special for your time in Florida.
Praying for your leaders. Feeling your disappointment. I was a leader on the Bolivia Team in 1979. God is still able to do abundantly more than we can hope or think. It’s just a curve in the road.

Praying for you, Haiti team!! We love you very much! “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zeph. 3:17

  13. Thank you TMI for Godly wisdom in making the hard choice to pull this team out. As a parent of A.J. who is on the Haiti team, and from my own experience many years ago, I fully trust you and will be sending my other son next year with you also!

Why is the team having to leave Haiti early? What are the plans for the team for the rest of their assignment until Debrief?
