Hope School-11018

11018-Hope School11018-Hope School11018-Hope School11018-Hope SchoolHow many birthdays have we been able to have a party for? Some more than others! We got ready to quiz on Saturday night and just before the first verse, we announced that we were having a fun night! You should have heard the cheers! We played some games and then had a birthday party to celebrate everyone’s birthdays. It was a lot of fun. Thank you to Justine’s parents for providing the party decorations. We sang “Happy Birthday” and brought out the cake. We were touched by the fact that Solomon, our missionary who is in his 60s got a big smile on his face and let us know that this is his first birthday party in his life! We were so excited to be a part of that.
We were able to attend a Greek Orthodox church yesterday. This one is very steeped in tradition and was started in the 1600s. So it was interesting to see what they do. We came back and had a relaxing afternoon of verse review, etc. We are looking forward to going to Jericho and the Dead Sea tomorrow. Then a few days of work. The school will be putting on a lunch for us on Thursday at noon and our team banquet will be that evening. We will leave in the middle of the night Friday night to go to the airport. There are only a few more days of work left so we want to get a lot done.
