Greetings from Team Indiana!
Both fairs last week were smaller so we saw fewer conversations compared to previous weeks. We did however, see people saying ‘Yes’ to Jesus each day that we went out. We
have now given more than 1,100 surveys and 198 have received Christ as their Savior. To God be all the Glory!
On Saturday, the team put on their hard hats and gloves for some work time in the morning while it was still relatively cool. We cleaned the eaves around the main building, pulled weeds, trimmed and removed low handing branches on a number of trees and did cleaning chores inside TTT and in our bus, ‘Indy One’. We worked hard over the weekend to catch up on our memory verses and the many on the team have made amazing progress. In the evening, we attended the 2,374th consecutive TTT evening rally together with the ‘Tigers’ (TTT teens). We found a set of quiz seats that TTT had in storage and held an exhibition quiz during the rally and four of our boys also shared a special song.
On Sunday, we attended church in Albion, Illinois. We setup the ‘Lesson’ (a Motorcycle Sunday School Mission promotion vehicle) in front and had a great time sharing three of our dramas in the service (Colors, Ugga Chugga, and Cage). Afterwards, the church members hosted us to a wonderful pot luck lunch. We enjoyed the food and fellowship!
Monday was our sightseeing day at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. What a place! We visited the Holiday World (dry side) of the park in the morning and rode many of the rides including some of the best wooden roller coasters in the country (the Legend, the Raven and the Voyage). After a picnic lunch, we visited the Splash’n Safari water park. It felt very good indeed on a hot summer day!
We are now re-focusing on our last week of ministry here in Indiana. We plan to be in two fairs on Tuesday and three fairs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The team members are no longer shy about sharing their faith and I suppose we could write a book about all of the conversations we have had… Please join us in praying for boldness, for compassion, and anointing on the sharing of the Good News this last week. We want to be useful vessels in the Lord’s hands as we minister.
Well, during this summer the Lord has opened my eyes to things I need to work on in my life… Like patience, and forgiving people for things they have said to me that I found rude. Right now, I’m working on that and just praying about it. It’s really very hard but sometimes in real life things like this will happen. So the Lord has been helping me get through this. In Proverbs 15:1-3 it says, “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” The Lord is always watching what you say and that just shows I should think before I speak. !Hi Mommy & Daddy!
When I was 5 years old I was into God so much I led people to Christ. When I got older my faith went down. I spent more time with friends and music than God. When I went to TMI I was completely changed. When I went to Indiana I was a little bit nervous when I went to the fairs, but when I was talking to people at the fairs I was happy. God used me to save people at the Fair Shares. I have more confidence… I kept reading Psalm 27 and Isaiah 40:31. All you people who read this testimony… I hope you read these verses.
I want to share a verse that God has shown me and inflicted me with… It’s I Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man I put away childish things.” God has shown me things in my life that are childish, and he has told me to knock them out of my life. I’m always asking God to continue to show me things that are childish, so that I can take them out, and be a stronger and better Christian for him.
