Greetings to the Saints,
Hello! I am Saba Mwape from Zambia. My lovely wife, Ethel, and I are blessed to be serving with Teen Missions in Zambia. God has also blessed us with two boys: Bukata (which means the Glory of God) is five years old and is in 1st grade. He loves school and is excited to go to 2nd grade next year. Alumbwe (which means God be Praised) is seventeen months old. He is learning to speak English and loves his brother very much.
I am involved in base projects that help supplement the Zambia BIBLE, MISSIONARY & WORK Training Center (BMW) school budget. I also work on projects that help fund and support the orphans. Taking all the staff missionary children to school is one of my daily responsibilities. As staff, I enjoy traveling to the rural parts of Zambia, visiting the Rescue Units with a program called Encourager Trips. During these trips we interact with the facilitators and orphans at large. We also pray and play together.
One of the most challenging and touching stories I came across during ministry was in Mumena, when I met a family who was sharing one torn blanket and the temperature was 48 degrees. I shed tears when I saw the living conditions of this family.
However, on my journey to the Funda Rescue Unit I was so impressed at the revival which started in July by the American team. After a presentation, 30 kids gave their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry of MSSM has challenged the people of Funda and has really impacted their lives.
We are grateful for the help the ministry of Teen Missions is providing to the people of Zambia. We are grateful for your support and prayers! Please continue to pray and please include my family and myself in your prayers. Pray that this ministry may grow even to the other parts of Zambia. We would love to take the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission ministry to Congo when we run Boot Camp, pray this might be possible.
My wife Ethel is involved in teaching our children at home. Because of the financial constraints that the ministry is going through, our funding has been hit. Hence, our income has been affected and we are having difficulties in paying for our sons School fees and transport to and from school. We therefore ask for your financial support both for school fees and family upkeep as we continue to serve the Lord. You can send your support to the Teen Missions headquarters in Merritt Island, Florida. Your support will be much appreciated!
Yours in His Vineyard,
Saba, Ethel, Bukata and Alumbwe Mwape – Romans 10:14-15
