GREETINGS FROM OUTLOOK, SASKATCHEWAN!

Dear Friends and Family,

Praise God! I am so grateful to God and His son, Jesus Christ, for His love and grace that has saved me from death and given me eternal life and to the Holy Spirit for His guidance day by day and His calling for me to serve Him. I also thank God for the existence of Teen Missions in Indonesia. It is a huge blessing and makes a lot of difference in the lives of many young people, and one of them is me.

Romsia Nenobesi

I was born and raised in Timor, Indonesia, and attended the Teen Missions Boot Camp in Wonogiri . When I had completed my team I went to school at the Indonesian Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center (BMW) in Sibolga, North Sumatra, a very long distance from my home in Timor.

After I graduated from BMW, I worked with a church in Ambon and together with Pastor Abraham we built BMW Ambon at the time. During my time in Ambon, there were a lot of Christians being persecuted and no one felt safe. The church I was working with had to stand guard 24 hours a day as churches were being bombed.

I went back to Teen Missions in Jakarta to prepare to be a missionary overseas. I joined Teen Missions in Canadain March, 2010, and am now working as staff at the base in Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada. My responsibilities are varied. Sometimes I help with finance things, sometimes I am working outside on the camp or the house and sometimes I am helping with general office duties. I’ve also been to missions conferences to represent Teen Missions in Canada.

Working hard

I have lived in a camper van at the camp, in the Teen Missions house, and at the home of some dear friends, Bob and Sandy Stephenson. They treat me as if I was their own daughter and have made me feel so welcome. Being very far from my own home and family, this has been so nice for me. Another great blessing from the Lord are friends from Indonesia and the Philippines and other Asian locations.

As I continue to serve the Lord here in Canada, I hope you will pray for me. I plan to start Good News Clubs here in Outlook, and will be continuing to work on the promotions of Teen Missions in Canada as well, going to missions conferences and in other places where the Lord opens doors for us. Prayer is so important, and I appreciate all who will keep me in prayer. Please pray for my health, my ministry, and please pray for my family and for all Christians in Indonesia. It is not easy to be a Christian in the world’s most populous Muslim nation, and persecution is common there.
