Kabwata, Eric and Jillian (Spring 2012)

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding, in all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. I praise the Lord for His great love, wisdom, mercy and grace! Eric and I have been in Uganda for about two months now and God has been so good to us. We are getting acquainted with all the staff and have transitioned well into our new roles.

Here in Uganda there are many buildings that need to be repaired and completed. Most of the time, Eric is found organizing the work crew, gathering supplies and working alongside the nationals here at the Nakabango base. Once a month he travels to the Rescue Units encouraging our facilitators, delivering supplies and giving them their budget for the next month.

Jadyn and I have been busy working on finances and typing reports. Daily I ask for wisdom from the Lord, as a lot of money goes in and out and balancing at the end of the day can sometimes be a little tricky. I’m finding that night time is the best time to work, when there are no feeding sessions, dirty diapers or the cry which means, “I need your full attention!”

On April 30th the Bible Missionary and Work Training Center is scheduled to start up here at the Uganda base. It has been closed for some time, so we are very excited to see it reopen. Eric and I have sat through many interviews and the students should be arriving soon. This term Eric is teaching Homiletics (The art and science of preaching) and I’m teaching Spiritual Life. This month we are blessed to have Don, Emil and Stacy visit us from Shiloh. They have been working on the boys’ dorm, trying to get everything completed before school opens. They have greatly helped us with a lot of the technical work and have fixed our vehicle. It’s fun to see familiar faces and fellowship with loved ones from back home.

The Kabwata family is so blessed to be serving the Lord in Uganda. We are so thankful for all your love, prayers, cards of encouragement and support. Though you don’t hear from us often, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Some of our prayer concerns are: *Requirement of students for the upcoming Bible School *Quick completion on the work projects *Wisdom in making decisions *For the staff here as they labor in the Lord

Thank you again for giving unto the Lord, many lives are being touched!

Lord Bless, Eric, Jillian & Jadyn
