Spindler, David and Stephanie (Spring 2012)

Happy Spring Everyone!!

By the time you read this, spring has probably sprung in your area and we hope you’re enjoying it. For us, with the onset of spring come the thoughts of summer teams. A lot is happening in Florida at The Lord’s Boot Camp to prepare for another summer of training and ministry.

Just as spring brings changes in the weather, it has also brought change to our lives. David and I returned to Florida in early April. We left Outlook on April 5, drove almost straight through and arrived April 9. We’ll continue serving the Lord here in Florida at the International Headquarters of Teen Missions International.

We’re leading the Early Boot Camp team to Germany this summer. We‘ll be in Neufrankenroda, a small village northeast of Frankfurt, in what used to be East Germany. Our project is to aid a Christian ministry there as they run camps for families and youth. The team will have opportunities to share the Gospel via puppets, music and drama with those who come to the camp. We may also have the opportunity to visit Wartburg Castle, where Martin Luther secretly translated the Bible into German. Please pray for us and for our team as we train in Florida and as we minister in Germany.

Our last newsletter was printed before we could make the big announcement, so here it is: Andrey Jason Goodall, our seventh grandchild, was born on January 16 at 11:54 pm. He weighed in at 8 pounds and was 20 inches long.

As I write this (on March 6, he is now 10 lbs 11 oz and 21 1/2 inches long). He was dedicated to the Lord on Sunday, March 4, with his paternal grandparents and his uncle, aunt and cousins (on his dad’s side) in attendance.

This picture is Jason, Olga and four day old Andrey, and the other is 2 1⁄2 month old Andrey. As you can see, he’s wasting no time growing up!

The rest of the family continues to do well for the most part. As with every family, there are the usual issues, but overall, everyone is fine. With six living grandchildren and one great-grandson, we could find lots to brag about—but we’ll resist for now.

Thank you for the role you play in making it possible for David and me to serve the Lord at Teen Missions through your prayers and generosity. We want you to know how special it is that you allow us to represent you in ministry. Our prayer is that God will continue to bless you as generously as you have blessed us. We are earnestly seeking God’s Will for our lives as we determine where He is leading us. Please pray with us that we would be able to discern God’s direction for the next year.
