Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Greetings dear family and friends in the blessed name of Jesus, who loves us, saved us and keeps us in His grace. We know spring is here with the new orange blossoms and flowers blooming. A unique thing happens with the Florida pine trees—when a new bud forms it looks just like a cross and happens right before Easter. Isn’t that a good reason to shout glory to God in the highest? You can see it in the picture on our prayer letter.
Betty had surgery on her right hand to correct her finger from staying closed, it’s called trigger finger. Betty stays busy in her office placing leaders and volunteers for the summer teams and Boot Camp. I have been busy supervising two groups of 60 to get things ready for Boot Camp.
They helped set up all five of our Big Top Tents, set up all the chairs, the stages and all the equipment we will use when the 688 team members arrive. There are 33 teams going out. Betty and I will teach two more Leader Training Seminars before the kids get here.
In May our International Board will meet for a week to plan our future course. May also starts our 1000 hours of Prayer—around-the-clock praying. We are experiencing a dry year and need rain badly. Our lakes have gone down and the grass is brown in color. Please pray with us that God will send us rain to make our camp safe from fire.
I always look forward to the 4th of July so I can display my fireworks show and I will also be speaking for the evening rally.
We have had people ask, “What do you do at your age?” Well, we just serve our Lord Jesus, one day at a time. Betty and I don’t want to count our days, but make our days count for Jesus. We find life so rewarding when we are in God’s service. It is such a wonderful blessing when we witness a person become a believer in Jesus. Our love and prayers go out to all of you.
God’s blessing, Bob & Betty Lane
