Our 2011 South Africa team

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20

Yippee! The summer is almost here, and so is the 2012 Lord’s Boot Camp! At Boot Camp, 660 kids will come to Teen Missions and have their lives changed through Jesus Christ. We are preparing for these kids to take part in missions going to over 30 countries. During Coot Camp they will learn how to do various kinds of construction and learn how to share their faith in Jesus through music, puppets, one on one evangelism, and drama. They will also hear challenging messages from our overseas staff at the evening worship rallies. Additionally, God has blessed me to help lead the Malawi Africa Orphan Care Preteen Team! As of now, we have 16 kids on the team that will train at Boot Camp and travel to Malawi, Africa for three weeks. In these weeks, the team will help with small construction projects for buildings that will be used to minister to orphans and share Jesus with orphans through dramas, puppets, singing, and Christian coloring books that tell the story of Jesus. After the team leaves, I will stay two more months and help our base there with construction and outreach to AIDS Orphans and Street Children. I will also help at the Lord’s Boot Camp for kids in Malawi.

I want to thank the many people who gave financial support for my Africa missions trip this summer. Your faithfulness and prayers are instrumental to the spiritual success of my mission trip and daily ministry in Florida, and are appreciated very much. At this point, I still need to raise $2,500 to cover all my expenses for my trip and the extended stay, but God will provide. He says in Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.” A lot of small donations add up and make a big difference!

In the last few months, I have been very blessed with work at our International Headquarters in Florida. My work includes landscaping, tending to fruit trees, and painting pieces of our life size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. My landscape work enhances the beauty of our property for those who use Teen Missions for retreats and conferences. Moreover, I am helping with the development of a Teen Missions mobile home park. Some of our staff and I have been busy for the past few months in establishing new mobile homes nearby our Headquarters. My portion of the project helps to make the mobile homes resilient to hurricanes. I have also helped to dig the ditches for the water, sewer, and electrical lines. The profits from mobile home sales will fund our ministry to overseas AIDS Orphans.

I am also very blessed to lead a Peanut Team(7-9 year olds) this summer and look forward to making a difference in their lives. This will be my third time leading the Peanuts into a closer relationship with Jesus.

God has been teaching me to trust in and rely upon Him more and more. He is faithful and His love, forgiveness, and mercy are never ending and never failing.
