Hello family, friends and supporters from the Zimbabwe team! Today is the last day of training at The Lord’s Boot Camp. The team is packed with so many new skills and knowledge to effectively witness for Christ in Zimbabwe. Tomorrow, we will begin our three-day Missions Conference that will further expand our view of the need for Christ throughout the world. Then it is off to Zimbabwe on Sunday evening. God continues to work in the lives of the team members.
Sarah Morris — God has been working in my life in many ways since arriving at Boot Camp! He has taught me that having a good attitude makes a situation a lot better. The Lord has also taught me to be patient with others and put them first. Most of all, God has shown me that I should do EVERYTHING for His glory!
Matthew Elliott – Life at Boot Camp may be hard, but it is also fun. I get to see how God is working in me and in the lives of others. God is very present here and I am positive He will also be in Zimbabwe. I can’t wait until the day I see you again and tell you all that God has done. I know that you are praying for me. I also pray for you—that you will seek, find and do the will of God each day.
Bethany Howell – Some consider Boot Camp nothing more than a gross Florida swamp, while others see the beauty. I have seen both. As I was preparing to come here, I viewed myself as a “good” Christian. However, Martin Luther’s words, “All of the Christian life is repentance.” has taken on a new meaning for me as I struggle and learn to say, “Not my will, oh God, but Yours.” I pray that God will continue to empty me of my pride and fill me with His great love.
