India 6/22 12004

With only three days left of Boot Camp, the India team is bussing with excitement! Please pray for dry weather as we start to pack up our tents. The Lord really blessed us with some light rain, which has kept the temperatures down and the mosquitoes away.

Unfortunately, we haven’t won the “Cleanliness Award” again, so we have not been swimming. But there is still time before we head off to India!

The team was able to complete the Water OC this week. Although it seemed daunting, the team members really enjoyed the experience! On Wednesday, the team witnessed the launch of a rocket from NASA. This was a first-time experience for most team members.

We are all still in good health. Please continue to pray for us as we pack up and leave for India.

Elisabeth Coon – II Corinthians 4:15-16 are verses that I read every day in devotions at Boot Camp. They help me get through the long, tiring days, especially when I read verse 15 which says, “to the glory of God”. In one of the testimonies shared during a Boot Camp class, the speaker said that they always read the armor of Christ in Ephesians 6:10-20 so that they can mentally put their armor on every day to protect themselves from the devil. So, I am trying to do the same thing because of the trials I face every day. I thank God for giving me His Word so that I don’t have to face the world on my own and I thank TMI for teaching me the importance of reading His Word EVERY day.

Evan Dowers – Four days left of Boot Camp! In some ways, I am happy to leave, but in other ways, I don’t want to leave. I am glad that I won’t have to run the OC any more, but I am really going to miss the rallies and all of the friends I have made on other teams. Boot Camp is more hectic now that Super Boot Camp has arrived. But the rallies are still exciting. The leadership on our team is amazing! We only have six people on our team and we are already like family.
