Greetings from Neufrankenroda, Germany – Camp Siloah!
We all arrived safely in Frankfurt where we were met by two representatives of Camp Siloah. Upon arrival, we discovered that two pieces of luggage have gone astray. Both are personal duffel bags. A lost luggage claim was filed and Lufthansa immediately sent out a world wide search message and they expect to be able to deliver our bags in 24 hours – something we are also hoping for.
Letters will be mailed home by all team members and leaders by this time tomorrow. Leaders are meeting with Camp Siloah leadership tomorrow morning. Team tents and kitchen will be set up tomorrow. For tonight, the camp has put us in cabins. Dishbags will be washed tomorrow along with travel clothes. Responsibilities were determined at Boot Camp and will be reviewed tomorrow as well.
The camp is beautiful, we were given a tour today.
Here are two team member testimonies:
“God has been moving in some good ways, our team had some good bonding time at the airport. We sung alot, it was really fun. I canät wait to see what the Lord has in store for me and my team. We had safe traveling. and good unity. I pray that we will be able to serve the Lord in all we do in Germany.
“Packout was terrible and stressful but I am glad it is over now, our flight was so long, we all slept pretty much the whole time. It was wonderful.” Brittany Murphree
“Registration, Boot Camp, packout, load the plane, git on the plane for ten hours, unload the plane, load the bus…Stressful? Yes. Did we want to go home? Yes. The temptations and doubts that Satan brings to TMI are almost tangible. BUT…I have been on the feild for about two hours now…Worth it? Yes. The blessings and rewards that the Lord brings far outweigh anything Satan can bring.. If you look for these rewards…you’ll find them. From the German highway, Josh Codding”
