Haiti — 12017 (6/28/12)

The Haiti Team is one of the biggest and wettest teams at Boot Camp! We have 26 team members and four leaders. Several of our tents have been water logged more than once, thanks to Tropical Storm Debby. But the team is hanging in there! They have worked together sponging out tents and cleaning things up. They genuinely care about each other!

The Missions Conference is over and Monday was our first day of construction classes, steel tying and block laying. We want to be as prepared as possible to help the school in Haiti. The team is also getting better at the Obstacle Course, in spite of the rain and blisters. They were able to get nine people over the wall on Sunday! Our days our full with classes, Bible and construction, the Obstacle Course, bucket bathing and bucket laundry, Bible memory, music and, of course, some goofing off too! We end each evening with rally, a time of singing praises to God and hearing from different missionaries. Please continue lifting our team in pray! We are excited to see God work this summer!

Alicia McLean – Ready for a shocker? I love Boot Camp! Our team is a huge family and together we have learned that we can get through anything. Already, we have shared laughter, tears, and testimonies. If you’re considering not going with Teen Missions because of the ever-so-intimidating Boot Camp, do it! You won’t regret it. (Oh, and I love you mom and dad!)

  1. Way to go Katrina. I am so glad you are having a great time. Keep up the good work and remember HE IS IN CONTROL. Stay focused on your work and not on yourself. Please know that you are loved and that I am praying for you. Oh yeah, your mom is really worried for you. She wants you to have a super time and to get closer to God. She is praying for you and is constantly talks about you, hoping you are ok.
