Cameroon Adult Trip 2013

Cameroon Adult Mission Trip

Following a day of orientation in Merritt Island, Florida, you will travel to Orlando for your flight toWashington D.C. and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, before arriving in Douala, Cameroon. From Douala, you will bus 225 miles north to the Teen Missions in Cameroon Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center in Bamenda. After a day to buy supplies and repack, you will head into the remote African bush to an AIDS Orphans Rescue Unit (AORU).

The needs are great in the areas surrounding the AORU and you will make a big difference as you wash feet and give these AIDS orphans their first pair of new shoes. Lord willing, you will do this ministry at multiple AORUs. You will also have opportunities to assist the facilitators with the weekly Sunday School, phonics classes and help treat the daily medical needs. There will be ample time to read to the children, play games, minister to the widows in the area and share the Gospel. There will be time to barter for fabrics, baskets, wood carvings and musical instruments before returning to North America.

  1. when will the postings for the adult 2014 be? SOMETIME THIS SUMMER.

  2. Thanks for the response! I’m actually in debate about going on an adult trip or as a team leader- I’m 24. I know to go as a team leader you have to attend the seminar before you can apply, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to get to Florida in the next couple of weeks for the November seminar. Do leaders get to put in requests for which team they go on? Is Cameroon already filled on the leadership team?

    • Kaitlin, We have another seminar in March and another right before Boot Camp training begins. We also have some seminars in different areas of the States. Please call Leader Placement next week for information on leading a team.

  3. How full is this trip currently? Is there a deadline to register since this trip is in February?

  4. Are young children allowed with their parents on the adult trips?
