Madagascar —12008 (7/1/12)

We praise the Lord that we made it here in Madagascar. Everyone is fine despite the tiredness from the trip so far. We are now overnighting  here in Antananarivo. We arrived at the airport and Nomena ( Liva’s wife) and kids were there to pick us up. We are missing some of our cans of meat from a bag that opened, but all other baggage arrived safely. We reported the loss, so please pray that it can be found. We are  staying at a Christian school for little kids called “Tranon’i Dada” meaning “The House of the Father” located in the center part of the capital of Antananarivo. They blessed us with a Malagasy rice dish for supper and everyone really enjoyed it. Right now at about 7 PM, it is 68 degrees, and we are told that it is going to get colder before morning, but they have blankets for us to use. We will be heading for Mahajanga tomorrow morning after buying some supplies here for the kitchen that may not be available there and some food for travel. Then we will begin the long bus ride there. Everyone is excited to get there and get started.
