India —12004 (7/1/12)

Praise the Lord, Jesse finally made it to India after a delay in getting his visa.

The team has been busy preparing evangelism programs for churches and schools. Already they have been able to visit a local primary school, give a presentation at a meeting of theological college leaders, a church and orphanage.

The team’s favorite experience was spending an afternoon at an orphanage. It was a memorable experience to fellowship with the children and to share God’s love through songs, puppets and playing games. Rachel was able to share her testimony and Gabe shared a message in the church service. Even though it was raining, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.

The team has also had the opportunity to experience Indian food. Everyone enjoyed the new flavors and way of eating (with four fingers and a thumb). Some team members have mastered this way of eating, some are still having difficulty (rice in hair, down shirts and on floor).

Please continue to pray for the team as they present the Gospel and share in different communities.

Gabe Opp – Over the last few days I’ve really noticed how joyful and happy the kids are at the school and orphanage that we visited. It’s really challenged me to be happy and content with the things I have in my life at home.

Rachel Fertich – I’ve really enjoy the time we’ve spent in India so far. I love how friendly the people are and how welcoming they have been to us. They are so generous and we’ve been provided with incredible meals (HUGE meals!) The women are so beautiful and wear the most amazing saris. I’m really looking forward to the next 3 weeks here.
