Montana update – 12030

We don’t always have access to a computer for long periods of time so I am senting all the web tesimonies at once. We are continuing on the cabin. The trusses for the roof are made and put up. We are also working on side projects such as painting the cabins, picking up trash, weeding the fence line and painting a home on the reservation. The weather is mostly sunny and hot but with a nice cool breeze. We had a bit of rain yesterday but it passed by quickly.
Two of our kids (Jenna Sperna and Clint) along with Amy Wilson had the opportunity to share their life experience and testimony on an Indian radio station here on the reservation. Over 79 countries are reached by the radio station (KGVA 88.1 FMO)

Our time in Montana has been a learning experience. My struggle has been learning to work things out with others. I learned that people’s opinions don’t matter as much as God’s. I feel that God has given me much wisdom through this trip. I know that God will apply it to my life. Most days are full of the joy of working. I wish I could always feel like I do when I work hard. God has really blessed this team. ~Marina Tinney

Hey mom and dad!
It is beautiful here and I have definatly learned how to be more thankful for everthing I have. I am seeing God’s beauty in each and every thing we have had a few bad storms since we have been here. I have felt a little homesick but I just think of the song “I wll praise you in this storm” and I know God is taking care of me. I love you!

Hello everyone!
Things have been going well. It rained last night but we stayed in the teepee and managed to stay dry.Last night before it rained we had evening vespers on top od a hill. The view was amazing!
~Katie Allen

A couple days ago a huge rain storm came in. The wind was really strong, it ripped our tent stakes out and our tents started to blow away so we had to rescue them. the rain got into our tents and we all had some water in our tents. We all scrambled in to save our sleeping bags and mats but they were all soaked. we hung everything up from the rafters to dry in the pavillion and everything dripped dry. We all had a really fun time together waiting out the storm and it is something I will rememberfor a long time.

This trip is hard but I am happy to be here. Montana is a beautiful state and I am learning a lot of new things about the Native American culture and also about carpentry.

LIGHTNING!!! Last night the sky was covered by these flashes of God’s strength. The stars were so pretty also. But the rain, that’s what got to us, the heavy giant peices of water hurling at your face at full speed. But last night was not as bad as it could have been. I love you guys and miss you!

While staying in Montana, I’ve seen beautiful mountains, exciting animals and the presence of God. God is obviously here and at work in camps, pow-wows, and the hearts of young and old Native Americans. One such experience happened at a small tribal pow-wow, when a young child came to us and said “Who is Jesus?” Excitedly we were able to share God’s love and mercywith the native people.

We are working on the cabin. Lets keep praying we can get it done and finished.
~Sarah Coldsmith

I have had a great time at the project site. The Indians are very generous and respectfull. The cabin we are building is coming along quickly, much faster than i thought possible. However, I miss my family very muchand love them more than I did before I left. I wish you were here with me.
~David Wass

Hey mom and dad,
The trip is really fun. We have already been to a pow-wow and we are going to another one pretty soon. The last couple of nights we have had thunder storms.
