“Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, my brethren be ye steadfast, brethren, be unmovable. Always abounding in the work of God, you know your labor’s not in vain in the Lord.” II Cor. 15:57, 58
Dear Friends and family:
Greetings in Jesus’ Name. The summer has come and gone. We trust that yours has been blessed as ours has been. We would like to share parts of it with you.
We are sending mostly pictures this time of portions of the work that has gone on throughout the summer. We thank God for safety and successful teams, for the loving people and faithful service
that each one has done for Him and the people of Zambia.
Below are pictures of the two summer teams, plus, you will see the container that came from the U. S. with bales of clothes and see the distribution of a few of them to both older and younger orphans. You can see our classroom full of clothes to be sorted. The two staff kids in the front are Tehilla Chama and Esther Yoder. One of the pictures is of the BMW school students holding their new Bibles that were mailed here by a friend and supporter of Teen Missions. All who received Bibles are so very grateful for this most valuable possession.
One of our blessings was having Steve (our son), his wife Gay, and their children, Timothy and Faith, come on the Water Filter Team. You will see Steve working on the EV film equipment, getting ready to show the Jesus Film. One photo shows the bucket filter they gave to a Rescue Unit. Team members are playing and interacting with the children out at Lufwanyama (Mark A. Overbay Rescue Unit). Others are helping with the Sunday School and the Mother’s Nutrition program for underweight babies. Doug is with facilitators, Hendrix and Edson. Doug and I are
with Mukema facilitators, Joy and Joshua, at the Redeemer Rescue Unit. Another picture shows Steve relaxing for a minute in our new home. The group in the leather jackets is the Orphan Angels Motorcycle Team. This is the last one of its kind to come to Zambia. Next year they will be in Madagascar. You may wonder why is there a picture of the “boot” that happens to be
Doug’s. Teen Missions is literally Boots on the Ground!
We give God all of the glory for the everything He is doing. We thank you for being laborers together with us. We cannot say a big enough “thank you” for the years of unending giving that you have done for this ministry. It is an awesome privilege to be a part of the work of God in Zambia. We appreciate ALL of the prayer support also. We are now giving out the brochures for the next BC here in December. The work continues. May Jesus Christ be praised!
Thank you for joining your hands with our as we labor together in His harvest,
Doug and Barb Petersen Matt. 6:33 & Galatians 2:20
