Chimbila, Nelson and Maggie (Winter 2013)

Greetings from Uganda, “The pearl of Africa.” We have a lot to share of what the LORD is doing in our lives and family. It has been a wonderful experience to serve the LORD with Teen Missions International in Uganda.

To you, friends and family, who have been long not hearing from us, we are now in Uganda at the main base of Teen Missions. We were asked by the International Director, Mr. Bland to go and serve in Uganda.

My husband and I were willing to move though we had a short time to pack. We had to fly from Ndola, Zambia to Entebbe, Uganda via Nairobi, Kenya. As soon as our feet hit the ground, we began work.

My husband had two classes to teach which was Homiletics and Spiritual Life at the BMW Bible School, and that term went well.

Last term I was teaching Pauline Epistles class and my husband was teaching the book of Revelation and Ethics. Teaching Pauline Epistles, I had a different experience and deeper understanding in my walk with God. This term, when school starts in February, I might be teaching Spiritual Life I at the BMW.

We are currently having 10 students at our BMW and we hope to have more this coming term. In the afternoon there is a lot to do in taking care of the base animals, of which there are two bulls, one cow, local chickens, goats and rabbits. WORK: We plan to continue with some construction that is at the base, like building the wall fence, the new kitchen, and the dining hall. My husband is mainly working with the students and also works on the finances.

I have enjoyed sewing in the afternoons with one student and we have worked on curtains for the office and the boys dorm. My husband asked me to paint the staff kitchen in the main house and I enjoyed painting with Joan the student.

Today was the go home day for our Boot Camp and we had 24 leaders and 130 team members who went on six teams. A lot was accomplished during project time. One team was building a church in a remote area of Uganda and worked up to the window level. The Nehemiah team was building a wall fence at the property of Teen Missions. The evangelism team had 124 people who got saved!!!!

Thank you for your support to our ministry and may the LORD continue blessing you, your work is not in vain.

In Christ,

Nelson, Maggie, Promise, and Praise Chimbila
