Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Redika and I at Lake Malawi

Our God is so great! His mercies are new every morning, and His love endures forever! God is continuing to do amazing things here at Teen Missions and around the world! Lives are being changed and people are drawing closer to Jesus every day as we continue to minister to people. The work we do here at the International Headquarters in Florida makes Teen Missions International’s worldwide ministry possible. For example, TMI is able meet the needs of over 10,000 AIDS orphans every day. Thank you to all who have prayed faithfully and given sacrificially making all this possible. Eternity will tell the difference you have made in the lives of so many!

Redika and I are moving forward with our plans to get married, but some things have changed.  Originally I had planned to go over to Indonesia (her home country) and marry her there, but it will be much easier for us to get married in the US instead. Soon we will be applying for her fiancé visa for her to come here and get married in San Diego later this year, once the Visa is approved.  This is a six-eight month process and would mean that we would be getting married in the fall of 2013. After the wedding, we will be applying for a green card/permanent resident card which takes six-nine months to complete. During that time, she is allowed to stay in the US, so we will be serving together in Florida at the TMI base here while we are waiting for the green card process to be completed. However, we do not have enough funds for the wedding and residency process, but are trusting in God that He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Last year I was able to help “set” some new mobile homes for TMI. I helped to dig the ditches for the water, electric, and sewer lines. I also helped to lay the sod for the lawns. These nice mobile homes are for our staff and volunteers to stay in. I am still working on the Land Crew, making the property look nice for all who use it. I also help with painting work around TMI and some construction and maintenance. One of the current projects we are working on is moving our Food Warehouse out to the corner of the pole barn that used to house our life-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. We are dismantling the shelves and walls and reassembling them in the new location. This is a big project and some of our staff and volunteers have been faithfully working on it and it is looking very nice and getting done.

I will be leading a Peanut team (7-9 year olds) this summer, an age group I enjoy working with very much. I will likely be summer staff this summer and not lead a team overseas.

We never know how and when God will use us to touch people’s lives for His glory. Recently, I was on a flight coming back to Florida from San Diego. I had my Bible in plain view as I enjoyed my flight. Then one of the stewardesses asked if she could she borrow my Bible to look up some verses to share in a letter she was writing to her friend. I happily agreed and about 30 minutes later she came back and said thanks, but she couldn’t find the verses she was looking for. God helped me to remember where it was in the Bible and she happily went on her way to share the verse with her friend! I am amazed that the almighty God, Creator of the universe, wants to use us as His vessels to pour ourselves into other people’s lives. He seeks our availability and not our ability!

Recently, I was able to help promote TMI at a few fairs and at a Winter Jam multi-band Christian concert in Tampa, FL.  It was a great experience and we were able to pray for some people as well as hand out about 1,200 summer brochures. We made some great contacts for future involvement with us.

Thank you again for your continual prayers and generous financial support. My ministry would not be possible without it. “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)

Please continue to keep Redika and I in your prayers. We appreciate them very much! Also, if God puts it on your heart to help support us financially, that would be wonderful too. We need a lot more monthly supporters as well as one-time gifts. If several people gave $25 a month, then we would be at full support. We are still in need of $6,000 for our wedding, airfare for her to come to the US, and green card expenses. Thank you again to all who have prayed and given already. Your faithfulness blesses me a lot.

Anticipating His return,

Samuel McCracken
