To the friends, brothers and sisters in the Lord, greetings. Praise King Jesus.
My name is Ocen, Moses. I am a Ugandan, a single man of 26 years old. I come from a home of nine children, seven boys and two girls, together with both parents, and we are all Christian in our home. I got saved when I was 12 or 13 years old. As time went on, I attended Sunday School until I reached 18 years. Then I was baptized as I became strong in salvation, and I began to do some of the activities in the church.
In 2009 I heard about Teen Missions, and I picked up interest to join as a team leader in Boot Camp. After Boot Camp I joined the Bible, Missionary & Work Training Center for two years and I finished well. I am now serving with Teen Missions in Koboko, Uganda at the House of Justice Aids Orphans and Street Children Rescue Unit.
God is teaching me in many areas, to learn the character of young people (kids) before I become a parent. I am learning more each day as God reveals it to me. Before I joined Teen Missions there were many things I was not able to do, but I can do them now.
One Saturday when the orphans were many (about 150), I was sharing with them about Jeremiah. When God called him, he was still young. At the end of my sharing, I asked for those who wanted to give their life to Christ. About seven received Jesus as their Lord and Savior that day.
My goal in ministry is to see progress. It’s my heart’s desire to see the ministry growing and to see transformation in the lives of the new Christians and the changes in the lives of the orphans as well as their living conditions.
These are my prayer requests to all the church:
1. Prayer for protection and good health
2. Prayer for the ministry I am doing here in Koboko, Uganda
3. Prayer that God will be in control of everything we are doing
Also I pray that some of you may be able to help support me in the ministry I am doing. Because I am in the ministry full time, I am not able to support myself. Therefore, let us join hands together so that we can build the Kingdom of God while it’s still the day. The night is coming when nobody will be able to work.
In closing, I pray that God who is in control of everything give you good health, protection and good care for all you do in business and ministering. May the almighty God bless you all.
