Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. We hope and pray that you are fine and blessed in the Lord.
God is faithful, we have been busy with our daily work at the base. My wife is running the BMW kitchen and also helping with the Dola Hills ministry. I’ve been doing the maintenance around the base, working a lot with the tractor, mowing grass and helping to fix the trucks and keep them on the road.
In Dec. 2012, Teen Missions ran three Boot Camps in Zambia. I went to Solwezi where I helped to transport orphans for the Solwezi Boot Camp. My wife stayed at the base in Ndola and helped with the Boot Camp there. At that time she was expecting our second child, so she also needed bed rest.
On February 14, 2013, we received a precious gift from God. A son was born in our family and his name is Ethan Timothy Yoder. He weighed 8.4 pounds. We thank God he is healthy and has great lungs. He also has a good appetite. During the next two weeks that followed, I was blessed with night shift duty with Ethan and we had all kinds of fun making bottles of milk and changing diapers. Thank God that he is now able to get milk from mummy and he has changed his time table.
We thank God for His protection. At the end of February I went to Lufwanyama to pick up the facilitators and on the way back to Ndola, the steering box on the truck I was driving broke. While driving on the rough roads, I couldn’t steer the truck. Those of us in the truck cried out to Jesus as the truck went from one side of the road then back again before it went into and over a ditch and stopped. No one was injured, praise the Lord! I was able to call the Ndola base and they sent out the welding machine and with the help that came from Ndola, we were able to weld the steering box back onto the truck and drive slowly home. So to all of you out there praying for us, thank you.
We want to thank all of you who support us both financially and in prayer. May God bless you for your generosity and we pray that as you continue to support us and that God will continue to provide all your needs, including your families.
We also want to thank all of you who gave money towards the borehole (well). It has been dug at the base and we will be finishing it soon. When it is operational, it will take care of our base for Boot Camps and the BMW Bible school. There should be plenty of water even for farming. Once again thank you.
We are planning to buy a used car from the pastor of the church we attend here in Zambia. We have set up a car fund with Teen Missions and are inviting as many as are willing to help us buy this car. We will be using it mostly around town, for going to church and shopping and also it will be a way to visit family and friends. If you would like to help, please send checks to TMI and indicate that it is for the Yoder car fund.
We are also looking for partners for Jesus Film and preaching outreach. This is a weekend ministry where we take students from the BMW Bible school here in Ndola, Zambia to the bush where we will preach the Word of God and show the Jesus Film. The cost for one weekend is $400. The cost is for transport out to the bush and the use of generators. If you, your church or youth group would like to help, send checks to TMI and indicate it is for the Jesus Film Ministry in Zambia. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
