Greetings to our Dearest Friends and Family,
It is so amazing to see how the Lord has been at work not only in our lives personally, but all around us. These past several months have been a time of trying new things and we have really been enjoying it.
The kids just won’t stop growing, against all of Mommy’s demands. 🙁 Kieley is six now and is up to Sharon’s shoulder. She has done so well with homeschooling that we have finished a majority of her books before May. We have ordered her school books for next year and when they arrived, she wanted to start them right there. She is excited to do Mustard Seeds again this year and this will be the last year she will be a Mustard Seed. We can’t believe that next year she will be old enough to do Peanuts! Aiden will be turning four in June. He has been talking so much more now and is finally getting interested in doing some kind of school work while Kieley is doing hers. He likes to draw pictures on her chalkboard at her desk and practice writing his name on pictures. He is also a great big brother to Cailyn. He constantly says how much he loves his baby sister. Cailyn has become quite a climber. We find her all over the place such as counters, our table and furniture. Her teeth are starting to come in more and she is quite a sensation wherever she goes. Everybody mentions how cute she is. She is going to be 20 months old this month. She has also become very vocal—words are starting to form as well as personality!
Sharon continues work as a stay-at-home mom. She thoroughly enjoys being home with the kids. These first few years of their lives are so important and adorable, it is a blessing to be a part of it hands on by being home. Sharon has also been continuing her hobbies during the year.
She has enjoyed making cakes for friends and family. We as a family did a road trip to Texas for the weekend to attend a wedding. Sharon had the privilege of being a part of the wedding as well as help with the wedding cake. There will be an opportunity for her to make a Highlands/Brave birthday cake in the next week. She has also enjoyed creating different projects through knitting and crocheting. One of her favorites is to make character hats such as owls and Star Wars characters. Scarves are also among the favorites and she is attempting her first granny square blanket. Sharon has also had a great opportunity to try her hand in selling items. This has been a great help to our finances and we will hopefully gain enough through it to get the kids involved more through dance, gymnastics, karate, etc.
Sean stays busy in the Video department getting things ready for filming and sound editing for Boot Camp. He is learning so much about what goes on in the process of filming and editing. Sean has also taken on a new hobby, woodworking. He really enjoys working on different projects in his “man cave” in the back yard. So far, he has made door signs, vegetable signs, cubed shelving units, picture frames, shadow boxes, wind chimes and cajons. I know I may have missed a few things. Whatever is a challenge, he takes it on gladly.
Along with trying new things, our family has been in the process of joining a new church called “Sovereign Grace Church” in Titusville. It has been an amazing journey and we have made so many new friends. We have finished a series of new members classes this past week and will soon be members of the church. The kids have enjoyed their own Sunday school classes and are learning so much about what the Lord offers. We cannot express how thankful we are to have found this place.
Boot Camp is on the way with Big Tops going up and teams being filled. Teen Missions will soon be starting the 1,000 hours of prayer. With a ministry such as this, prayer is the greatest need. Teenagers are going to be going all over the world and it is so important to pray for everything such as safety, health and growth in the Lord. It is such a blessing to be a part of the ministry and work alongside a great group of believers. We
were planning on being on summer staff as a family this year, but the need arose for Sean to go to India as the head male leader. We ask for your prayers for his safety and for us as a family that the weeks will go by quickly. The team itself sounds really fun and we hope that the team members will learn so much of what the Lord has in store.
We want to thank all of you so much for your continued support towards our family. We ask that you please continue with it, especially the prayer support. We know that the Lord will supply all of our needs and it is through prayer and thanksgiving that we see His good works.
We covet your prayers for our family:
– That we would be the parents the Lord has called us to be for our kids.
– That each and every one of our kids will come to know Him at an early age and live a life pleasing to Him.
– Good health and daily safety
– Wisdom through homeschooling
– Consistant Financial support
Thank you again for everything and may the Lord continue to bless you in every way!
