On Tuesday, our team won the clean award and was allowed to swim in the pool during our free time. This was a great blessing for everyone. Yesterday, we also won the “Godliness Award” for helping someone with their work, so today we will also get to swim in the pool.
We celebrated Luke Feenstra’s 15th birthday yesterday and Nellie rescued Jessie and Shelby from a spider in their tent. This morning, Micah prayed for all of Boot Camp during “Rapture Practice”. Luke and Renae are great leaders in music class and Zach is very enthusiastic in puppets. We are making progress on the Obstacle Course and got nine people over the wall this morning.
It’s very hot in Merritt Island, but it has been mostly sunny, so we have been able to stay dry which has been a huge blessing. Please continue to pray for the health and safety of the Panama team as well as their spiritual growth and love for the Lord.
Leah – “Every day the team is getting stronger and stronger. The first time we ran the Obstacle Course, we only got two people over the wall before our time was up. Today, on day five, we got nine people over the wall! You might not think that it is a big thing, but it is really showing that we care starting to get strong as a team. From day one, I would have never thought we would have come this far in such a short amount of time. We are starting…Actually, No! We ARE a team! God is making us strong as a team!
Josh Q. – “When I first arrived, I felt like I had made a mistake. I was home sick, I missed a funeral, and said ‘good-bye’ to my friends for the last time as we are moving while I am in Panama. But as I made some new friends on the team and prayed, I made the decision to do the Lord’s will and remembered that I am here because of God’s will.”
