The Uganda Team Is Doing Great!

The Uganda team is doing great! Everyone seems to be getting along and really pulling together as a team. Classes started on Monday and they’ve been working hard at learning block laying, digging, and how to begin a foundation for a building. They are also learning how to teach phonics as well as practicing several different dramas to use in evangelism overseas. Christal Kendall especially has shown extreme talent in her acting skills and expressive facial expressions.

Every morning the team gets up early and runs the Obstacle Course a little after 6 AM. On only their second day of running it, they managed to get 17 people over the Wall! We are SO proud of them and know that they will have everyone over in no time!
But even more than that impressive feat, we are really proud of their awesome attitudes. They received the “Piggy Award” for having the messiest campsite and therefore had to clean the bathrooms, which they did with smiling faces, positive attitudes and praise songs. We are so happy and blessed to have each and everyone of them on our team.
A few words from the team:
Meg Huntington – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” -Philippians 4:13 This verse has taught me so much about life and myself. My mom always repeats this verse to me and it always encourages me to be a better person and most importantly a better Christian. When I got to Boot Camp, I was not used to the weather or anything about Florida and our living conditions, but by being here, it reminds me how blessed I am to have what I do at home. Boot Camp also makes me rely on God through all things, which is how it should always be! Boot Camp is difficult and the most difficult experience of my life! But in the end we will all come out of it stronger in our faith and it will change our lives forever.
Daniel Zettlemoyer – Boot Camp is a very enriching experience. It can be tiresome at times, but I know that I am right where God wants me to be so I keep pressing on. There are fun activities, learning, and work activities to help you grow physically, mentally, and spiritually, so I do really enjoy it.
